For Close to the Metal, we took the foundation of the Tidal trouser and pushed it further. By eliminating the side seam and rotating the original Tidal's central dart closed, we merged the front and back panels into one continuous piece. A bold dart runs from the back waistband to the knee, where we integrated a zippered back pocket and an oversized zippered cargo pocket.
Our signature faced waistband keeps the front clean and geometric, while an elastic panel on the back of the waistband simultaneously provides structure and comfort. An internal drawcord with a slim FidLock buckle keeps the pants secure in case those cargos get especially overloaded.
